architectural drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to
prepare labor, equipment, and materials/subcontractor estimates for large and
complex work.

Provide complete
conceptual and final estimating input on complex work using knowledge of
specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.

Ensure that estimates
are completed ethically, on time, competitively, and accurate.

Request quotations from
suppliers and subcontractors. Conduct a thorough evaluation of incoming scopes
of work and conduct a cost analysis on quotations.

Consider and analyze
risk factors.

Conduct onsite analysis
of pre-existing conditions when applicable.

Perform post-bid
analysis and participate in bid review meetings with owner or owners
representatives.

Initiate and participate
in project hand-off meetings.

Investigate value
engineering options.

Maintain files
(electronic data) of working documents as back-up for estimate figures,
including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers.

Act as the
Companys representative with owners.

Supervise junior
staff members.

Proficient with
both schematic and detailed cost estimating practices as well as project
scheduling techniques.

Proficient with personal
computers, computer aided drafting systems (CAD), spreadsheet and word
processing programs.

Familiarity with
general accounting and project cost control techniques.

Negotiate, award, and
administer contracts with subcontractors for the successful completion of
projects in a timely and cost efficient manner.
