Increased efficiency count from 53% to 97% in three months for novelty line of Dreyers Grand Ice Cream. Charged with improving start-to-finish process of specialty product line. Identified/resolved employee dissatisfaction with line productivity/equipment maintenance. Improved line operations, exceeding company benchmark of 80% efficiency.

Reengineered trouble-shooting process for Grimmway Farms, eliminating need for complete plant shut-down during investigations. Company discovered faulty equipment control issues for products prior to packaging and needed to isolate the problems without bringing the entire plant to a standstill. Designed and implemented plan to divide building in half, controlling each half with a separate control panel and requiring only half the building to be shut down during troubleshooting. Supervised diagnostic plan, isolating problem areas and allowing up-time for unaffected plant areas.

Played key leadership role in Bolthouse Farms construction plan, completing two-year project in eight months. The company was in the middle of a huge beverage product line expansion and required a project manager with construction background to manage support operations. Created work schedules/order, contractor time sheets, ordered equipment and conducted safety meetings. Completed expansion project, saving time, expenses and manpower.

Managed Process Improvement Team, reducing production bottlenecks for Dreyers Grand Ice Cream. Palletizing Department had unacceptable downtime, eventually shutting down plant production lines. Designed and installed a by-pass conveyor system to move this product from one end of the building to another and avoid palletizing shutdowns while allowing the workers enough time to clear jams.

Manager New Construction Dept/Electrical Designer, Bolthouse Farms Inc., 2005 to 2007. Supervised electrical contractors conduct safety meetings and produce electrical design packages. Managed staff of 30 and $2M budgets.

Project Manager, Dreyers Grand Ice Cream, 2000 to 2005. Supervised construction crews and electricians during project fabrication, installation and construction for this division of Nestl. Managed all capital design and implementation projects.

Electrical Designer, Grimmway Farms Inc., 1996 to 2000. Managed all electrical project development and implementation. Collaborated with project managers and supervisors to provide continuous production and equipment up-time. Managed staff of 15 and budgets to 5M for regional agriculture industry leader.
