DESMAN Associates, a national architecture/engineering/planning firm is seeking to fill the position of Business Development Manager for the New England Region. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and converting leads into professional services sales for the New England Region, which includes CT, MA, NH, VT & RI. This position will report directly to the Regional Manager of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating business opportunities for our Rocky Hill, CT and Boston, MA offices in its target markets. They will become involved in local organizations to further business contacts and lead exchanges. The Business Development Manager will maintain contact with existing clients, and research and develop new client opportunities through planned marketing, sales and public relations activities. The position will also be responsible to provide periodic marketing and proposal production support in the pursuit of new business.
We seek a self starter who is able to maintain focus on marketing objectives, has experience in the design, construction or consulting industry, possesses a proactive, positive, professional and creative approach with people, is able to listen effectively and communicate clearly and completely in written and oral presentations and formats. A proven success in selling professional services is required.
