Kiewit Construction Company, Fortune Magazine's most admired company in Engineering/Construction has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager in their Woodcliff Lake, NJ Office. Kiewit builds civil infrastructure and electrical projects in the Northeast United States from $5 million to $600 million. Our projects include roads, tunnels, bridges, rail systems, marine facilities, and deep foundations.
The position will report to the District Business Development Manager and will:
Build relations with public and private clients, potential construction partners and designers.
• Assist with the identification and pursuit of new project opportunities.
• Develop project-specific capture plans and close complex sales.
• Negotiate commercial and technical aspects of projects;
• Assist in the development and implementation of strategic business plans.
The successful candidate must have 3, but no more than 7 years, hands-on business development experience, in an AEC environment and be familiar with
• Project funding and implementation procedures.
• Federal, state, regional and local permitting and project approval processes
• Preparing qualifications, proposals and presentations, and coordination of multi-discipline teams.
• Leading, directing and efficiently managing a project pursuit team.
Additional requirements include; excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Internet, and customer resource management. A BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred; a Bachelor in related discipline will be accepted.
