Large commercial construction contractor is looking for a Project Job Cost Accountant. Responsibilities include: Consultation with estimating and project management to set up job cost codes and budgets in Timberline; Set up and preparation of monthly pay requests to owners; Receipt and processing of subcontractor billings and payments; Follow up and follow through with owner payments; Verify and prepare equipment and consumable billings; Maintain vendor files and accounts; Review and enforce subcontractor compliance to our contract requirements; Prepare and track weekly concrete efficiency spreadsheets on self-performed concrete work; Process all owner approved change orders and issue supplements to subcontractors, etc. A Job Cost Accountant acts as the “CFO” of their particular projects by working closely with Project Management to track profitably, tie cost reports to original contracts, ensure budgets are adhered to, etc. This is a key position within the Project Management team. A Bachelors Degree in a business related field, preferably in accounting, is desired. Four years of accounting experience may be substituted for the degree. Comprehensive knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook are required. Experience with Timberline is a plus.This position is based out of Salt Lake City, UT. However a position in Tempe, AZ also exists.
