Position Description
Determine best layout of collection system considering project constraints (i.e. overhead/underground, follow roads/cross country, junction box locations, etc)
Perform system loss calculations (100% output and annualized)
Follow-up with electrical contractors bidding our projects and ensure they understand the scope of the projects, answer questions, etc
Review turbine manufacturer provided data and determine extent of scope for electrical portion of project including tower wiring requirements and electrical characteristic (i.e. grounding requirements, power factor ranges, lightning protection requirements, generator outputs, etc)
Develop one-line diagrams of collection system and substations using AutoCAD
Develop and maintain standard details of electrical construction that are typical and common to our projects
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
4 year electrical engineering degree with 0-2 years experience in electrical construction management
Basic understanding of construction techniques and project management practices
The ability to manage multiple tasks
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong teamwork orientation
Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
Detail oriented
Valid drivers license required
