This Position will include coordination and management/supervision of project labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and ensuring the safety of employees, the public, and the environment. Construction duties include oversight of the civil and environmental aspects related to the construction of a RCRA landfill capas well as performance of a full range of contract support services. The applicant must have construction oversight experience, be able to ensure work is performed in accordance with the contract documents and standards of quality, and be able to establish accurate efficient record keeping systems and communicate contract requirements to subcontractors. Participate in internal/external project/progress status meetings. May work directly with clients, both internal & external. Responsible for continuous monitoring and update of the Subcontractors critical path progress schedule to ensure the appropriate work elements are being accomplished in both contractual and construction sequences. Will provide onsite review as work efforts dictate and ensure critical operations are observed to meet requirements. Will use the specifications, drawings and approved submittals to determine subcontractor compliance. Duties will also include conducting periodic compliance audits and inspections of work. Responsible for assessing progress and maintaining job duties. EOE, M/F/D/V.
Other Requirements: Experience with construction management; landfill construction oversight experience is preferred. Must be able to interpret and execute construction specs and drawings. Must have the ability to track a project through costs and schedule to keep on track. Technical experience in various aspects of environmental construction including earth support systems, dewatering excavation, material handling and transport, water treatment, infrastructure installation and or repair, stabilization and concrete installation. Experience in wetlands, stream relocation / restoration, MGP remediation and mechanical / electrical installation a plus.
