NYIT seeks a Director of Design and Construction to oversee a wide range of design, renovation, and construction projects for the College. Under the direction of the Vice President for IT and Infrastructure, the Director will be responsible for the successful completion of all construction projects on-schedule and within budget; work closely with management on the strategic and tactical planning for NYIT’s Manhattan campus; manage capital budgets and develop effective proposals; act as liaison between the NYIT community, architects, contractors and other vendors as it relates to construction and renovation projects. The selected candidate will be joining the College at a transformational period in its history as it implements an ambitious strategic plan embraced by the NYIT community that seeks to define and position NYIT prominently in 21st-century higher education locally and globally.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering and 10+ years relevant experience required. Excellent project management, financial planning and staff management skills also required. Previous experience in a higher education environment strongly preferred.
