The Vice President of Interior Design is responsible to oversee all departmental operations for assigned department which include: overseeing interior design teams, facilitating effective communications between all involved parties and managing costs of interior design fees. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIRMENTS:
21 years of age, proof of eligibility to work in the United States, High School diploma or equivalent, communicate effectively in English both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
SPECIFIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 10 years related experience in Interior Design. Must have verifiable success being proactive in responding to changing market factors. Must have exceptional intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent leadership capabilities and charisma skills to influence, inspire, and motivate key stakeholders and employees around a single vision. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with senior management team. Strong financial acumen and bottom-line orientation. Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude, and the ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts. - The VP will be responsible for ensuring interior design criteria and brand consistency.
- The VP will serve as the point of contact between construction, interior design, and vendors and partners.
- The VP will oversee interior design projects, including as necessary, design and specification of specific plans
- The VP will manage and critique interior design efforts done by external consultants
- The VP will create an in-house design team that will assist in fulfilling the above roles in a timely and professional way.
