We are seeking an accomplished business development professional to collaborate with Principals and Market Leaders in the research, analysis, and implementation of business devement strategies that will aid in sustaining current growth and take us to a new level of success. The person in this position will draw upon their 5+ years of business development and/or marketing experience in the architectural-engineering industry to develop and diversify marketing opportunities, and exercise independent judgment in developing marketing opportunities consistent with the strategic initiatives of the firm. Candidates must have a proven track record of success that includes strategic planning, marketplace research and analysis, lead development, prequalification, BD plan management, and implementation. The successful candidate will collaborate with market leaders in a team-focused business development environment, developing client relationships, seeking new project opportunities, building consultant/teaming strategies, guiding the preparation of specific marketing documents, participating in interview preparation, and conducting market analyses. The position is based in our fast-paced, 60-person office in Seattle. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, or related field along with a minimum of five years business development and/or marketing experience in the A/E industry. Strong organizational, presentation and communications skills are required. The Seattle office values people who can think and work independently, seeking candidates who work well in a hands-off environment where personal and professional motivation drive achievement, not an agenda assigned by others. At the same time, collaboration, communication and mutual assistance among the firm’s nine full-time business development professionals is crucial. Travel is required.
