RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for direct oversight of all phases of accounting and finance, including investments, financial reporting, audit, tax, compliance, and budgeting.
- Oversight of regulatory compliance including NAIC and financial ratings organizations. This includes reporting on both a GAAP and STAT basis, including annual management discussions and all regulatory and financial rating bureau compliance and reporting
- Prepare month-end and year-end consolidated financial statements, books and records for the company.
- Directing the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Prepare various financial and accounting reports for management’s use during the budgeting and forecasting process
- Documentation of processes, procedures, and related internal controls
- Analyze areas to improve corporate operations through the use of applied computer technology and financial analysis.
- Oversee the annual audit process; coordinate any external audit requests.
- Acquisition due diligence
- Promoting the organization in financial markets to assure sources of capital.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years progressively growing financial/accounting roles within the - insurance/financial services industry.
- Strong acumen in financial analysis, planning and strategy
- GAAP and STAT accounting
- Experience in IPO’s and/or public companies
- MBA and CPA strongly desired.
