Director/Section Manager- Environmental Remediation

Job Description: Position Summary:

Earth Tech is seeking a Director/Section Manager in the Cincinnati area to lead and develop growth for the environmental and construction/remediation business in the Ohio and Kentucky areas. The Section Manager’s role is to provide corporate leadership and to direct the sales and business operations of the business unit with the objective of providing increased sales and revenue growth, profit, and return on invested capital.

Detailed Responsibilities Include:

· Section Manager for office staff and field employees located throughout the United States totaling 30+ employees. Fully accountable for all activities of the office and projects. Breakdown of business by operations is: 10% construction, 70% remediation, and 20% environmental consulting.
· Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential clients and develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales of the organization’s services.
· Responsible for the financial performance of the section including profit and loss (P&L), budgeting, financial forecasting, and business development.
· Provide operational leadership in the development and implementation of practices for the purpose of continuously improving the project performance of the Company’s practices.
· Review operating results of the Company, compare them to established objectives, and ensure appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
· Ensure all company activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. · Staff recruiting, development, and management.
· Safety program oversight.

Position Requirements Include:

- Must have understanding of and relationships with local and state agencies that can lead to maximum sales volume of the Company’s services.
- The successful candidate must have a B.S. in environmental engineering, science, or a construction discipline.
- Must have a minimum of 15 years experience in the environmental consulting, construction, and remediation market with 7 years most recently being in a management position with demonstrated success of financial responsibility for a P&L in conjunction with business development responsibilities.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations required.
- Professional certifications desirable.

Additional Qualifications Include:

· Demonstrable history of client relationships and sales with local and state agencies associated with construction/remediation and environmental consulting. · Must be a high-energy leader with excellent business sense.
· Must have vision of where the industry is going and how to capture work. · Must be comfortable in managing risk.
· Team builder/player – well-developed interpersonal skills for team building, implementing management transition, and developing client relationships. · Strong construction/environmental market knowledge regarding client needs, pricing, and risk.
· Sets high personal goals and is highly motivated toward achievement. · Trustworthy - high level of personal integrity.
· Decisive.
· Strong work ethic.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
