Summary
1.Provides leadership for design, project delivery, and construction management, including development of new business models, budgets, consultant selection, contracts, work product standards, resolution of construction claims, policies on campus and system-wide, cutting-edge promotion of integrated construction contracting, and creation of sound financial management policies.
2.Responsible for the overall management and implementation of Capital program.
3.Responsible for a multi-$500 million dollar, multi-year, multi-phase Hospital Construction project.
4.Will provide executive leadership and direction to CHOC’s efforts in long-range facilities planning, construction and alteration of building in support of medical activities.
5.Act as lead Facilities executive for CHOC with direct responsibility for Master Campus Planning, design and construction.
Requirements
1.Substantial experience (10 years) in senior management role in the design and construction industry that demonstrates a prominent record of accomplishment and leadership.
2.Bachelor´s degree or equivalent experience in architecture or engineering and advanced degree in architecture, engineering or business.
3.Knowledge of design and construction, engineering practices and principles, facilities management principles.
4.Analytical skills necessary in order to recommend effective departmental policies and procedures.
5.Proven record in providing leadership with regard to developing the skills of departmental personnel and building team work.
6.Must be familiar with OSHPD construction requirements and approval procedures.
