Job Location: Fayetteville , NC Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Engineers Job Description: Responsibilities: The successful candidate for this highly visible position will have a proven track record in the engineering or construction fields, selling services to federal owners and military branches in the Carolinas. ECS's Federal focus includes pursuit of BRAC, MILCON, Civil Works and other related programs. You will provide leadership and direction to identify and presell to Federal owners with a focus on Military Branches, i.e., Air Force, Army, Navy. You will have established contacts at Military Bases in NC, SC and surrounding states, and you will have prior experience working for an E/A firm or contractor. Your focus will be on key decision makers involved in engineering, construction and procurement within those organizations. The Business Development Director will facilitate interaction of other team members to maximize account penetration. Working from an ECS office in Fayetteville, Raleigh or Wilmington, NC, you will interact with key staff to identify and target Federal owners and military bases that have needs for company services, provide direction on teaming, interact with clients/owners, attend meetings and be active in various national associations, be involved with the preparation of qualification statements and proposals, expand the client/contact database, generate leads and follow-up with clients. Depending on your strengths, you may be utilized in other regions of ECS and in other market sectors, but your emphasis will be on federal/military installations in the Carolinas. Qualifications: * Proven track record selling engineering services to Federal customers. * Strong knowledge of the DoD market. * Ability to cross-sell services in several market sectors, i.e. commercial, power, transportation. * 10+ years of related Federal business development experience, preferably in selling engineering, architectural or construction services. * BS degree in civil or environmental engineering, marketing or business administration. * Self-motivated, well organized, detail oriented individual possessing strong communication skills. * The ability to prioritize and multi-task. * Must be a team player. * Ability to travel frequently within the Carolinas region, and to branch offices of the firm.
