Human Resources Generalist   Employer: Kiewit Corporation Job Location: Omaha , NE Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Highway - Heavy Contractors Job Description: Responsibilities This individual will partner with the Operation Departments of the district to support their recruiting and staffing goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: *Recruitment, staffing, orientation, and EEO. *Coordinate and conduct all recruitment, interviewing, and selection activities. *Ensure that company, state, and federal policies/laws are followed in the recruitment and placement procedures. *Coordinate all pre-employment duties. *Maintain on-line applicant tracking records. *Participating in training and development programs, campus recruiting events, and other such activities as needed *Staying up-to-date on the latest HR trends. *Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. *Experience handling confidential matters. Qualifications *A Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent education/experience. *Minimum of 4 years related experience as a Human Resources Generalist. *Previous full-cycle recruiting experience. *The ability to work in a fast-paced engineering and construction environment with limited supervision. *Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. *Proficiency in Excel and Word. *Ability to manage a high volume workload, work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. *Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer service skills required. *Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. *Knowledgable of Employment Laws. *Team player with an interest in other areas of Human Resources *Ability to travel up to 25%.
