Chief Operating Officer   Employer: Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority Job Location: Toledo , OH Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Building Owners Job Description: The Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority seeks a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to direct the operation, management, development, and leadership of the Port of Toledo, the largest land mass seaport on the Great Lakes; Toledo Express Airport, a non-hub passenger and international air cargo airport; Metcalf Field, a general aviation airport; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza, one of Ohio's busiest passenger ferry and cruise ship service to U.S. and Canadian ports across the Great Lakes. The COO will oversee the administration of the Port Authority's operating divisions, policies, and procedures, and direct the work of operating division directors and managers; manage all aspects of Port Authority activities to maintain and conduct operations in a manner that promotes and maximizes the use of Port Authority facilities and strives toward the highest standard of services. Beginning salary range: $120,000-$138,000 Qualifications include: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a field related to the position or equivalent combination of education and experience (three years of experience shall be considered equivalent to one year of university-level education), 10 years of relevant and progressively responsible executive mgmt experience in facility operations, logistics, and/or governmental construction projects, Designation as an Accredited Airport Executive or Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives, or the ability and willingness to commerce pursuit of such designation within two years of hire and achieve it within three, Satisfactory results on a background investigation.
