Job Description: |
This position is responsible for all aspects of architectural design and associated project execution/delivery. Establishes and maintains the standard for design excellence. Manages, directs and develops architects, interior designers and production/support staff.
Makes decisions and recommendations of significant impact on primary architectural activities. Negotiates critical and controversial design issues with top-level architects, engineers, and business leaders. Demonstrates high degree of creativity, foresight, and judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding architectural programs and activities. Contributes architecture expertise on cross-functional projects in cooperation with other Client functions or outside consultants as necessary. Maintains the Client standard of elegance and good taste. Is the steward of the Client architectural image and frequently mentors architects and businesses on related Client standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Position requires a B.S. in Architectural Engineering and 12+ years experience (or 10+ years and an advanced degree) working on design/ construction / remodeling projects. Significant team/people management experience is essential. A strong track record of creative, innovative design and execution accomplishments is required, as is experience in luxury or hospitality projects. International project experience is highly desirable. Registration as an Architect is also required.
