Job Description: * Direct activities of a nonprofit organization made up of labor unions and their signatory contractors and report directly to a Board of Directors. * Develop and oversee projects as determined by the Board. * Develop an annual budget for the organization. * Do all regular accounting duties for the organization involving contractor and labor contributions and bills payable. * Act as a liaison between the CLMC and school districts, community organizations, governmental committees and the media. * Represent the CLMC at Career Days and other activities that promote the unionized construction industry. * Maintain and update the CLMC website. Candidate Requirements: * Knowledge of advertising concepts and marketing programs to enhance the image of the CLMC. * Understanding of governmental programs and their relationship to the construction industry. * Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word and Quickbooks. * Ability to work with developers and owners of major private construction projects. * Background in the construction industry or related field. The CLMC was created in 1990 as a joint effort between building trades unions and contractors to promote a better construction industry. The mission of the CLMC is three-fold. First, we use modern marketing strategies to promote union construction.
