Responsibilities will include:
-Develop and maintain successful working relationships with the site's leadership team in order to influence and provide effective HR processes, advice and support.
-Provide proactive coaching, consultation and direction to management in areas of employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and overall organizational effectiveness.
-Organize and participate in the local talent sourcing, selection and hiring process.
-Ensure understanding and consistent application of company policies, procedures, and practices through training, coaching, one-on-one communication and policy interpretation.
-Observe and promote adherence to policies, regulations and Dow Corning Global Business Standards.
-Primary contact for employees and managers to answer inquiries and provide general employee information including: compensation, benefits, attendance, performance reviews/evaluations and terminations.
-Assist with site's safety program and required safety reporting/documentation.
-Review of all policies, practices and procedures to assure compliance with Federal, State, and ---Local laws and regulations.
-Other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Requirements:
-The successful Candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (ideally in HR, -Labor/Employee Relations, Business, or Organizational Development), MBA or MS a plus
A minimum of 3 years of well rounded HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing and multi-site environment
-Experience with training and organizational development a strong plus
-Experience with implementing compensation and benefits programs and processes a strong plus
-Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Suite applications and SAP
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
-Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task and support multi-site operations
PHR / SPHR designation would be a plus, but not required.
