Job Description: |
Manages the Engineering Department including budget, QCD, hiring and training employees, planning and directing project work, performance reviews, etc.
Interfacing with key personnel; initiating plan; monitoring schedule and work in process.
Identifying and expediting critical path items; communicating constraints to appropriate parties; follow up on needed action.
Exercise independent decision-making abilities in determining critical paths; setting priorities, controlling the direction and intensity of expediting activities.
Identify problems and prevent production delays; anticipating problems, initiating corrective action and expediting solutions.
Foster a positive environment where people are encourged to grow their technical/safety expertise and work closely with cross-fuctional peers.
Ability to work effectively in a global environment with teams in the USA, Europe and Asia.
Qualifications
DEGREE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STRONGLY PREFERRED.
Experience with manufacturing high reliability electronics where quality is paramount.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities.
* Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
* Must have advanced technical skills in engineering management, quality assurance and costing.
* Must possess manufacturing experience with electronics or electromechanical systems and equipment.
* Must have advanced problem solving, project management, data analysis and critical thinking skills at strategic and functional levels.
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work with others, clients, vendors and co-workers, in a courteous and professional manner.
* Experience with people-management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution, training and development.
* Desire and drive to achieve advancement and improvement, along with exceptional technical depth and expertise.
General knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data such as product income statements, return on investment analysis, net-present value analysis
