The Johnson Group Staffing Company, Inc. has an opportunity with an Architecture, Engineering, & Construction Program Management client in Ontario, CA.
Position: Senior Architecture, Engineering, & Construction Management Industry Operations Manager / Regional Manager (Public Sector Engineering & Construction Management Projects)
Office Locations: Ontario, California office (91764)
Compensation: $150,000 to $170,000 annual base salary DOE + highly competitive benefits and bonus package

JOB SUMMARY:
The Johnson Group Staffing Company, Inc. is a technical staffing company specializing in Architecture, Engineering & Construction Management employment opportunities. Our client, a large and widely respected multidisciplinary Architecture, Engineering, & Construction Management firm is actively seeking a Senior Operations Manager / Regional Manager to join their Ontario, CA office in Southern California.
This Operations Manager will shadow our Regional Executive for a year or so before moving into a Regional Management role themselves. Must have strong Southern California ties within the Public Sector engineering and construction industry; and an in-depth background in business development and field knowledge in the capacity of a Program or Project Manager. Must have Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management experience pertaining to public entities.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field. (Required)
Minimum of 15 years of progressive and position related work experience in construction management, and at least 5-10 years of related work experience managing two or more employees/ staff members (Required)
LEED Professional Accreditation and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Knowledge of architecture, engineering, and construction management industry including current conditions and industry network.
Effective computer skills including proficient working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint software required, and project management (P6) and scheduling database (Prolog) software preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the advanced ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to provide advanced leadership and financial management support to multiple project teams.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Ability to demonstrate and model the competencies of communication, conflict resolution and building teamwork.

Must have past Business Development or Client Relationship building experience.
Must have client relationships and contacts within public sector/entities in Southern California such as the City, County, School Districts, etc.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management Operations Manager/ Regional Manager will plan, direct, and ensure the successful management of multiple programs and or projects within the public sector market. Will insure that company standards and values are maintained throughout the firm.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Sales & Marketing
- Develops strategy and leads all business development efforts for the region including the preparation of proposals and presentations for new work.
- Profitability
- Plans, directs, and is accountable for the achievement of regional sales, revenue and profit objectives and effective management of overhead costs
- Business Plan
- Develops, implements and executes regional short and long range goals and objectives to support sales, profit and overall company objectives.
- Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine regional progress toward stated goals and objectives.
- Confers with vice president to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals and objectives resulting from current status conditions.
- Operations
- Directs, leads and is accountable for all regional operations.
- Ensures operations are executed in accordance with company and project policies and procedures.
- Client Satisfaction
- Maintains and ensures client satisfaction and effectively resolves complaints when necessary in order to secure repeat business.
- Contract Management
- Participates in preparation and negotiation of owner contracts and ensures all aspects of owner contracts are accomplished.
- Ensures delievery and adherence to contractual requirements and project progress and that all aspects of the owner contracts are accomplished.
- Quality
- Maintains high quality standards, understands key process issues and ensures implementation of process improvements for all work within the region.
- Risk Management
- Actively participates in the business community and building relationships within the industry to generate and enhance business opportunities.
