Job Location: Central , Afghanistan Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Engineers Job Description: The Louis Berger Group, a leading international A&E development firm, is seeking a long term Chief Structural Engineer/Deputy Design Manager for a USAID funded project in Afghanistan. The position is for one year with the possibility of an extension. The Chief Structural Engineer will lead the structural engineering team in preparing the design drawings of bridges and drainage structures to include integrating and coordinating geotechnical and hydrological engineering activities, she/he will review the contractor’s shop drawings as required, provide technical support in the construction of bridges and drainage structures, conduct site assessments for new projects, prepare cost-estimates, provide supervision and mentoring for bridge engineers, CADD operators and other junior level staff and provide capacity building assistance as required.
