Our client is a rapidly growing consulting engineering firm offering various civil and environmental services. They operate offices internationally, and have an opening for an Senior Manager to join their New York City office. The majority of their environmental services are related to investigations and assessments, Brownfield redevelopment, due diligence for real estate transactions, tank closures, and environmental compliance and permitting. Their project load is centered around New York business, so familiarity with city and state agencies and regulations is required.

Some of their clients and projects include; environmental assessment and site closure activities on 1,150,000 sq foot multi-tenanted industrial/commercial complex, remedial investigations at the World Trade Center sites, and other high-profile contracts in and around NYC. Responsibilities: Expected to perform and manage several diverse, high-profile Phase I and Phase II site investigations and assessments projects simultaneously. This includes all aspects related to field oversight of environmental investigations / assessments, site characterization, soil and groundwater sampling, remedial investigations, tank closures, due diligence transactions, and environmental compliance and permitting. Prepare preliminary, engineering plans and detailed cost estimates. Supervise and direct staff, subcontractors, and remediation contractors. Prepare bid specifications and coordinate contractor bidding. Other responsibilities include clients relations and business development.
Requirements: Candidate must have a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, or related field. M.S. degree a plus. Must have at least 12 years of relevant consulting experience as an environmental engineer. PE license is required. Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of New York City environmental regulations and permits, along with Phase I & II investigations and assessments, Brownfield redevelopment, due diligence, tank closures, and real estate transactions. They seek an individual who can manage multiple projects with strong communication, presentation skills, and an aptitude for work in a team environment.
