Job Description: |
TERRITORY: North to Hawthorn area, East to Palm Desert/Palm Springs area and South to San Diego/Chula Vista area. (Candidate must reside within: North to Huntington Beach, East to Anaheim, South to Dana Point/San Clemente, or be willing to relocate themself to this area).
BASIC FUNCTION
Direct responsibility for an assigned retail zone, acting as a liaison between Kohler, the retail ACCOUNT and rep firms to improve sales. This person will be ACCOUNTable for training, selling, merchandising effectiveness, product salability, and communication of product and competitive issues.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop excellent working relationships and rapport with our rep firm, all Kohler retail staff members, and The Home Depot or Lowe’s Store Support Office.
Drive activities, goals, and sales of our rep groups through weekly call reports, training sessions and work togethers.
Train all rep group and appropriate store staff on Kohler and Sterling stock and special order product features maximizing retail sales. Manage inventories and place orders on a weekly basis through The Home Depot Store Support Office.
Ensure all product displays are merchandised to best practices, showcasing Kohler and Sterling products with all available/appropriate merchandising.
Ensure all displays function properly with all parts in place and all products are clean.
Ensure that the P.O.P. material is displayed for maximum information for the retail customer and the store staff understands the features and benefits of each product.
Develop and sell retail merchandising/ display/endcap programs to generate incremental sales on key promoted or (hot) Kohler items.
Manage new store opening process, including rep group effectiveness and efficiencies during set-up, store staff training and continuous process improvement.
Communicate competitive information, as well as product mix by locations, and defective trends immediately to Divisional Sales Manager.
Special projects or activities as directed by Divisional Sales Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of two (2) years outside sales experience.
