Job Description: |
Watts Constructors, a Weitz Company, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to be located out of our Dededo, Guam location. Watts Constructors has completed projects for numerous State and Federal agencies, including the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army, and the National Park Service, in addition to selected private companies.
The Human Resources Generalist provides support to local management in functional areas of human resources: recruitment and employment, employee communications, employee relations, compensation administration, benefits administration, and special projects. The HR Generalist provides input into the development of human resources policies and procedures and implements those policies and procedures through employee communications and practice.
Required Skills
Essential Skills:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Applications, independent judgment, confidentiality and discretion, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task are required. Candidate must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to work with limited supervision. Candidate should possess excellent analytical skills and should be highly detailed-oriented. Project leadership ability is necessary.
Required Experience
Qualifications for this position include:
* Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline or equivalent Human Resources experience required
* Minimum of four (4 ) years of HR Generalist experience required
* Knowledge of Employment/Immigration laws helpful
* PHR/SPHR Certification is desirable
