Duties: · Maintains construction services staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities; building productive sub-contractor relationships. · Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. · Builds subcontractor relationships by negotiating contracts; maintaining productivity, quality, and costs. · Improves quality results by directing facilitation of process improvement teams; monitoring implementation of recommendations. · Maintains safe work environment by establishing and enforcing safety policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements; directing the investigation of accidents and preventive improvements; providing safety and first-aid training. · Provides communication support by establishing and enforcing communication policies and procedures; identifying communication requirements; approving major expenditures. · Maintains disaster preparedness by establishing and enforcing disaster preparedness policies and procedures; identifying business operating requirements; monitoring preparedness. · Achieves financial objectives by forecasting requirements; scheduling and monitoring expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action. · Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. · Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
