Senior Project Architect   Employer: NBBJ Job Location: San Francisco , CA Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Architects Job Description: Responsibilities: NBBJ San Francisco is seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect with California hospital experience in technical design, permitting and construction phase services, to work full time on site with the Architectural team. The primary role of the position is to take the lead in focusing on construction quality and code conformance. The successful candidate will be responsible for: • Developing and implementing a system for regular observation and monitoring of construction complimentary to the Architect of Record's duties; • Identifying and tracking real or potential code and construction quality issues through resolution; • Ensuring work is constructed to plan and specification on a continuum basis both pre-construction and during construction; and • Providing additional support to the CA team to address OSHPD field reports and post-approval changes. Qualifications: Qualifications Required: • Direct OSHPD experience with major new construction or additions to healthcare facilities and a continuous role through construction phase durations. • 10+ years of professional experience in Architecture • Licensed Architect in California • Experience providing Construction Administration services on a large-scale OSHPD healthcare project • Demonstrated abilities to identify potential field problems early and develop proactive solutions in collaboration with design, construction and inspection personnel. • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to form working alliances with owner, architect, contractor, agencies having jurisdiction and on-site inspectors. • Familiarity with and use of digital tools for document tracking and processing, and field reports Qualifications Desired: • Experience with Integrated Project Delivery and/or Lean Project Delivery concepts • Relationship building skills and organizational ability are key NBBJ is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we value our diverse workforce.
