We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for business development and management of projects related to environmental permitting/EISs/EAs for precious metals, other minerals, and coal mines in the western USA.

Duties include: business development, proposal writing; project management; coordination and tracking of tasks, schedules, and deliverables; technical coordination; client and agency contact; staff coordination; and technical writing and editing.

The successful candidate will be able to multi-task well by working on several assignments at a time. The candidate should have strong mine NEPA permitting experience in western states and demonstrate familiarity with state and federal mine regulations and permiting requirements. The ideal candidate will have managed several mining EISs and EAs for projects where the BLM, USFS, USACE, or USEPA was the lead agency. Some travel is required.


Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or Natural Resources with 10+ years of related experience is required.
- Strong technical background and experience in mine permitting, NEPA analysis, and regulatory affairs for precious metals, other minerals, and coal.
- Extensive experience in permitting of western USA mine projects with various federal and state agencies and management and preparation of Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, and permitting.
- Business development and proposal preparation experience is required.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Ability to work well with clients, managers, peers, subordinates, the public, and agencies in a collaborative manner.
- Excellent oral and written communciation skills with strong attention to detail, tasks, budgets, and schedules.
