Job Description: |
DuPont Chambers Works has an opportunity for a Powerhouse Supervisor. The Powerhouse Supervisor will serve as the site's Chief Engineer. The Powerhouse Supervisor will be responsible for the operations of the Chambers Works steam turbines, steam distribution system, compressed air, breathing air, and chilled water systems, as well as other site equipment operated and maintained by the Chambers Works powerhouse. The Powerhouse supervisor will assist the water treatment plant supervisor and maintenance first line supervisor with area utility shutdowns pertaining to sanitary/fire, process, and river water distribution system repairs. The Powerhouse Supervisor will also interact as a contributor to various improvement projects for site infrastructure, as well as the site lead for sitewide steam shutdowns and startups.
Supervises a staff of production employees. Ensures adherence to established operations and safety policies and procedures. Maintains standards in the areas of housekeeping, safety, attendance, operational discipline, process safety management, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Responsible for communications up and down the line and for assuring that communications from team members are accurate and complete. Responsible for responding to personnel, operational and safety and environmental incidents. Ensure work is completed in accordance with production schedules.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements
* NJ Department of Labor Red Seal Boiler certification. The candidate must provide proof of an acceptable application for examination for the higher grade license. NJ Department of Labor Gold Seal preferred.
* EPA608 Refrigeration Certification
* Experience troubleshooting industrial refrigeration equipment
* Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
