Job Description: The Senior Vice President, Property Management Barracks (SVP PM Barracks) is responsible for the full scope of the barracks business line within the property management function for the company. The position is both strategic and operational in nature leading the development of and responsible for the implementation of comprehensive business plans, programs, initiatives, and strategies that promote the achievement of optimum operational, financial, and business performance of the barracks (property) management function at PMH privatized military installations. In conjunction with the RVP PM group and the installation Program Directors (PD), the SVP PM Barracks supervises the Community Management Directors for barracks housing and the installation community management staff for barracks in the development and implementation of the community and barracks management and operating plans for each installationĂ¢??s privatized barracks housing operation. In addition, the SVP PM Barracks leads the property management / operational aspects of the due diligence and procurement efforts for all barracks housing opportunities including the transition of all new projects from the initial identification and business development stage all the way into the operating portfolio.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate or related field. An advanced post-graduate degree (MBA, JD, etc.) or advanced post-graduate certification (CPA, etc.) is strongly preferred. The professional designations of Certified Defense Privatization Manager and Certified Property Manager (or equivalent) or active candidacy for these designations are required. Minimum of 15 years progressive property management experience within a professional management organization(s) is required, with demonstrated responsibilities for a diverse multi-site/scattered portfolio of conventional, student, LIHTC, subsidized, and/or government housing properties. Minimum of 5 years previous experience working at the corporate or regional level with a multi-site/scattered portfolio of more than 7,000 units supervising both regional and property level staff, including support staff. Proven process and operating results improvement in the areas of financial management (including budgeting and NOI), staffing/evaluating, and customer satisfaction is required. Demonstrated success in business plan development and execution. Demonstrated success in leadership and staff development. Outstanding interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem solving, team-building, and organizational skills.
