Due to growth that our client is experiencing, our client would prefer a Professional with a background in high voltage electrical power distribution. Our client is an EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) firm offering commissioning and testing services on numerous medium and high voltage substation and transmission line projects worldwide. They have successfully completed interconnection of over 22% of all wind-power installed in the US into the bulk transmission systems. This is a full time permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate can either work out of our clients Albany, NY or Philadelphia, PA office. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Responsibilities: • Preparation of design calculations and contract drawings of concrete, steel and masonry structures. • Heavily involved in the design of new and existing structures • Review of calculations and drawings, and reviewing technical quality of structural projects. • Ability to perform construction administration of related designs • Ability to travel on an as needed basis for projects Qualifications: 5-10 years of relevant experience preferred BS Civil Engineering degree with Structural Concentration is required, Masters Degree is preferred PE license required – New York PE preferred SE (Structural Engineer) license is highly desirable Experience with renewable energy projects highly desirable Organized, flexible, good communicator, detail-oriented and independent worker. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Risa, STAAD, RAM and AutoCAD Knowledge of current building codes for state and international building code.
