Job Description: Summary
The Vice President Equipment is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the cost-effective maintenance and functionality of all rolling stock equipment in the U.S. Southeast. The VP Equipment will be responsible for all shop locations and personnel, establishing a preventive maintenance program, and procuring parts and repair services. The VP Equipment will also be responsible with new rolling stock equipment purchases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Will maintain rentals, fuel, equipment utilization, sale, purchase, maintaining and all things related to rolling stock equipment needs (trucks, paving machines, loaders, etc.)
• Will provide Capex proposals for acquisition of equipment
• Will work with Equipment Services to achieve National Account discounting and compliance
• Work with Equipment Managers to identify staffing needs related to the equipment division.
• This position will strive to maintain all equipment in a manner to better the company in financial, quality, safety and appearance.
• Other duties as assigned by the Division President.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Will directly supervise Equipment Managers and have general oversight for all equipment division employees in relevant area.

Education and/or Experience
• College Degree. Experience in the general knowledge of the construction and/ or materials industry and the equipment it takes to work in this field. 10 years of experience and/or related work history.

Language Skills
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Computer Skills
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software (Excel).
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Must have and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
