Job Description: The Ohio Masonic Home is one of Ohio's largest and most prestigious continuing care retirement communities. We are looking to recruit a top individual for this position:

Director of Engineering & Environmental Services

This position is a key member of our leadership with responsibilities for planning and management of department with respect to: budget; projects; code compliance; and day-to-day operations. The successful candidate must be able to provide leadership for organization efforts to maintain the community in a safe, clean, sanitary and economical manner.

Specific Duties
* Prepare, develop and implement Operating and Capital Budgets

* Directs operation of the Environmental Services, Grounds, Laundry, Maintenance and Powerhouse departments

* Set departmental policy, procedures, standards and expectations

* Plans and implements projects to keep facilities code compliant and aesthetically pleasing

* Supervises hiring to maintain approved staffing levels

* Works with Corporate Engineer on planning, coordination and tracking of capital projects including renovation and facility modification projects

* Provides or initiates employee training in job skills, safety, customer service and communication

* Manages the collection, proper storage and disposal of infectious, hazardous and universal waste streams

* Maintains record drawings both on the computer and in hard copy

* Responsible for regulatory compliance with: ODH and OSHA; Federal/State/Local building regulations and codes


Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year school with 8+ years experience and/or training in building trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and high pressure steam boilers (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Must also have familiarity with terminology associated with building codes, mechanics, power distribution, electronics, fire codes, EPA/OSHA. Healthcare experience is HIGHLY preferred so that the candidate possesses familiarity with state and federal requirements for nursing homes
