Job Description: |
etrotech has been the leader in control and instrumentation systems for rotating machinery for over 30 years. Our high technology systems are installed in every major industrial, oil & gas and energy company in the world.
Due to exceptional growth, we are seeking a Vice President of Sales & Marketing with demonstrated experience in managing large domestic and international contracts. This position can be located in either New Orleans, LA or Houston, TX.
Position Summary: Provide leadership to the sales & marketing function and business planning process. Responsibility for the definition of company’s market approach and product offerings and differentiation to produce market share growth. Direct responsibility for sales and marketing team, to include direct sales personnel and representatives, and the day to day sales process. Over 5 years sales management experience selling custom automation systems to the worldwide energy, oil & gas and other process industries is a must. Exposure to rotating machinery such as Compressors, Gas Turbines, Generators and Reciprocating Engines is preferred.
Responsibilities:

Define market and product differentiation position in served markets
#
Define competitive offerings to generate desired market share growth
#
Develop channel marketing strategies to successfully achieve targeted sales for segmented markets.
#
Lead sales team to achieve targeted growth objectives.
#
Recruit and develop competent partner/agents consistent with business plan. Manage agent activities to increase market share.
#
Leverage existing customer contacts to expand business opportunities.
#
Develop alliances and partnerships within the industry to create additional market opportunities.
#
Direct and manage annual sales budget and monitor performance throughout the year.
#
Effectively manage marketing functions and production of all marketing collateral to include trade-shows, advertising, website, brochures and sales-training.
Essential Skills/Experience:
#
At least 5 years management experience selling highly differentiated automation systems and instrumentations to the oil & gas, power generation or other process industries.
#
Familiarity with rotating machinery, such as turbines & compressors, automation market.Proven sales and business planning achievements.
#
Exceptional written communication and presentation/client interface skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment.
#
Strong and effective negotiation and closing skills across all organizational levelsAbility to travel and interface with multinational clientele.
#
At least 5 years management experience selling highly differentiated automation systems and instrumentations to the oil & gas, power generation or other process industries.
Education:
#
Four-year college degree in a technical field or a business discipline with 5 years experience in industrial technical sales.
