Position Summary:
Manage and direct the operation of the Engineering/Maintenance Department related to buildings, grounds and equipment. Ensures efficient and cost effective acquisition, utilization, distribution and maintenance of equipment and supplies used throughout the organization. Directs and oversees Plant Operations, construction and Bio-Medical services. Administers a preventive maintenance program to facilitate uninterrupted service to patients and to assure safe conditions of employment for staff members.

Equipment used, facility operations, budget, decision-making, contracts, etc. Makes decisions of high complexity without direction. Has both internal and external organization contact. Handles confidential information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelors Degree in Business or Related Field or 10 years experience.
Preferred: Five-year progressive responsibility in disciplines applicable to engineering and plant operations preferably in large multifaceted hospital. Must possess excellent written and verbal skills necessary to communicate with patients, staff and visitors.
