Job Description: Responsibilities include: Manage environmental monitoring and compliance within governmental regulations and conduct routine interactions with regulatory agencies regarding environmental compliance and general permitting. Coordinate implementation and support for environmental systems at Cortez with site operations. Additional duties will include environmental training for site personnel, environmental field work and oversight of contractors/consultants, hazardous waste management, document/report preparation, and management of special projects.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:

· B.Sc. Degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial environment required.

· Minimum of 5 years direct experience in environmental compliance with a minimum of 3 years in a mining environment, to include regulatory agency interactions, required.

· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required.

· Computer skills including experience with PowerPoint, Word & Excel required.

· Professional communication skills with various levels of employees both verbally and in writing required.

· Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others required.

· Proven safe work record required.

· Willingness to work with all levels of the organization required.

· Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines required.

· Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
