Director of Environmental Construction - Remediation   Employer: Terra Contracting LLC Job Location: Kalamazoo , MI Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Specialty Contractors Job Description: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Direct all phases of the project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervises all personnel working on projects including site superintendent, field staff, and administrative personnel. * Serves as primary customer contact. * Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources. * Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project. * Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed. * Responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses. * Supervises site superintendents, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies. * Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated. * Reports to stake holders regarding progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated. * Support and comply with all components of Loss Preventions System (LPS) * Regular and physical attendance is an essential function of this position * Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position * These items are not meant to be exhaustive of responsibilities, duties or requirements.
