Senior Mechanical Engineer   Employer: JBA Consulting Engineers Job Location: New Orleans , LA Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Engineers Job Description: Provides supervision for preparation of plumbing and HVAC system design drawings and specifications for new construction, existing facilities expansion, and renovation projects. Projects will be of moderate to high complexity. Responsibilities Include: * Applying engineering fundamentals to designs of mechanical systems. * Responsible for financial success of projects based upon mutually agreed fee structures. Minimum Job Requirements: * Bachelors Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience. * Proven ability to perform the duties specified with prior project experience at an equivalent level of responsibility. * Minimum 10 years experience. * PE or an ability to obtain required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: * Ability to design, coordinate and manage projects. * Ability to collect field data and accurately record findings. * Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to design of HVAC / plumbing systems. * Skill in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and project financial software. * Ability to perform field review and make necessary adjustments to conform to job specifications. * Thorough knowledge of contract document and specification requirements.
