Our client is a natural gas storage development company which will eventually provide multi-purpose, salt cavern natural gas storage facilities designed to increase efficiency, reliability and competitiveness of energy markets throughout the Western U.S. This organization is two years into the development phase is about ready to begin construction. This is a portfolio company of a private equity firm which currently manages over $330 million in assets targeting control-oriented midstream investments involving the gathering, storage, transmission and processing of oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids.

We are currently seeking a top-notch Construction Project Manager.
The Project Manager will serve as an engineering project manager in support of construction of natural gas storage facilities (Surface & Subsurface). The Project Manager will review design drawings, prepare contracting packages, manage construction of said facilities including supervising the construction teams and vendors and oversee facility sustainment, upkeep and repair.
Duties:
Ø Attend major project meetings and communicate project status to executive team
Ø Manages construction projects, including, development, implementation, and staffing requirements
Ø Assesses variances from the project plan, gathers metrics, and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope, time, cost and quality objectives, and further defines project requirements and schedules
Ø Develops methods, procedures, and quality objectives, including metrics for assessing progress
Ø Provides the construction team with constructive feedback pertaining to project performance
Ø Provides work direction and general project management, including scheduling, work assignments, and reviews project efforts to ensure the project meets design specifications as outlined in the conceptual and detail design documents
Ø Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule; identifies ways to resolve schedule issues and keeps management aware of the situation
Ø Communicates individual roles and project expectations and ensures that all construction team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively
Requirements:
Ø Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Ø 7-10 years of Project Management experience
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Ø Experience in natural gas or energy Industry
Ø Experience in building companies and managing growth
