Job Description: |
We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Phase II LRT Build-out as Senior Construction Contract Administrator. This position reports to the senior manager of Procurement.
Successful candidate will have extensive experience with the administration of construction contracts. Experience with design-build contracts is preferred. Strong leadership, team-building and interpersonal skills are essential. Excellent oral and written communications skills is required. BS/BA Degree and minimum 7 years related experience required.
Responsibilities include:
Manage, implement, and prepare the construction solicitation, negotiation award, and Contract Administration process in conjunction with the project team of engineers, consultants, Legal, Audit, DEO, and community relations.
Facilitate the coordination of complex change issues, including cost, design, schedule and provide risk assessment evaluation guidance and direction to the project team.
Coordinate and oversee the construction project to include design review meetings, negotiation, weekly/monthly status updates, and report progress to upper management, Change Control Board, Contracting Officer, and Board of Directors as necessary.
Ensure absolute contract compliance during contract administration, including compliance with the contract terms and conditions, Labor Department, Davis Bacon, multiple municipalities and all other governmental agencies.
Monitor the status of construction to ensure timely completion within budget in coordination with multiple departments to include Procurement, Project Management, Legal, DEO, External Affairs, Marketing, Audit, Community Relations and Maintenance/Operations.
Adhere to a tem concept as an integral, enthusiastic, influence on the process in accordance with all departmental policies and procedures.
Ensure a seamless transition of completed projects into Revenue Service and Maintenance/Operations.
The successful candidate will have effective written and oral communicate skills, understand the scope of work requirements, be eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player.
