Specific Job Description
Business development professional for MS2 New Ventures Line of Business - Renewable Energy segment. Responsible for renewable energy market analysis, new business opportunity identification, qualification, and capture. Support the growth of MS2 into adjacent and white space markets by capturing new business with solid returns on investment, and strategic growth capacity. Work with the new ventures business development team, program management and technical team to identify innovative solutions and business arrangements to meet customer critical renewable energy generation needs. Build customer relationships with key customers in both the Federal and Commercial markets. Identify partners and subcontractors with products and services which enhance LM's renewable energy offering. Travel to customer sites, trade shows, partner facilities and demonstration facilities to present and market MS2's renewable energy solutions. Initial focus for the position will be solar energy business development, working under the leadership of the solar energy business development lead. Develop an understanding of the broad set of MS2 renewable energy offerings to support business development of other areas (Biomass, Ocean Energy, Fuel Cells, Energy Storage).

Evaluates and reviews consumer research, point-of-sale and syndicated data. Reports findings for major marketing, distribution, and manufacturing proposals and their impact on the sales function. Participates in the central development and implementation of new products, re-launches, new business building programs, sales rationale, etc. May also participate in presales or sales meetings to review proposed plans. Functions as liaison between regional sales and marketing function. Provides and/or initiates sales analysis affecting distribution, spending as it relates to volume, brand promotional strategy, and selling tools.

Typical Minimums
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
