Director of Public Works & Engineering Services   Employer: Town of Burrillville Job Location: Worcester , MA Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Building Owners Job Description: Responsible for the functions & services of the Town, relating to highways, bridges, dams, engineering, public parking lots, solid waste disposal & recycling, maintaining town grounds, public parks, playgrounds, waterways & beaches, recreation facilities & public buildings as directed or authorized.​ Serves as a day-to-day supervisor on all matters pertaining to Public Works.​ Provides engineering & technical support to all other Town Deptartments.​ Performs highly specialized, responsible work & is responsible for professional & managerial aspects of all Divisions of the Public Works Dept.​ Responsible for planning, coordinating, design, construction & inspection of public works projects.​ Chosen candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Traffic, Transportation or other related Engineering curriculum from an accredited college or university.​ Candidate must be a Reg?​d Professional Engineer licensed in the State of RI or able to become one within two (2) yrs of appointment.​ Five (5) yrs exp.​ in municipal or a municipal related discipline is DESIRED, which may incl.​ exp.​ in a senior management position in a private firm or related business, including the military.​ Company Description: Burrillville is a beautiful rural community of 58 square miles located in the northwest corner of Rhode Island.The Town is centrally located in southern New England and is an easy commute to Providence, Boston, Worcester and Hartford.
