POSITION SCOPE
This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of the strategy and infrastructure of commercial business operations. While developing a strategic business vision for Empire’s commercial business, this role will be responsible for expanding brand awareness for the Company, securing new business and/or bidding opportunities for the Company, enhancing the Company's public image and market position, and contributing to the overall growth and expansion of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify the proper commercial segments that align and provide the best opportunity for the existing Empire business model.
* Develop overall business strategy for attacking and gaining market share in the identified commercial segments.
* Identify and develop the proper organization structure required to support the above strategy.
* Develop and implement a systematized approach to selling in the targeted commercial segments.
* In conjunction with IT, develop and implement a cost effective plan for managing and housing data for prospects and accounts
* As opportunity exists utilize existing infrastructure, including management and sales teams, to plan commercial operations, sales, strategy development, and secure information on product needs and customer specifications.
* Develop tactical plan, metrics and associated budget, manage business development within the approved plan and budget as well as effectively communicate progress and changes to management and staff. .
* Craft internal winning strategies that generate cultural change and boost company awareness/participation towards the Commercial Business.
* Develop sales goals and incentive programs for commercial sales.
* Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.
* Analyze sales statistics and forecast both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the Company’s strategic plan. Use strong analytical skills and market knowledge to yield the highest potential returns.
* Establish and maintain ongoing effective communications with prospects as well as building lasting client relationships.
* Actively communicate current sales information, as well as new and changing sales objectives to the Executive Team on a regular basis.
* Effectively organizes, prioritizes and manages multiple projects.
* Other duties as requested or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Bachelors Degree required, Master’s preferred;
* 10+ years commercial or Business to Business sales management
* 5 years executive management experience.
* Expert in strategic business development, and have experience developing and executing business plans built on targeted strategies.
* Experience leveraging existing customer and partner relationships and have experience developing and maintaining relationships with clients and vendors, or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Excellent business skills, (i.e. communication through writing, presentation development, delivery, and project management).
* Must be a thought leader that is articulate and can communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Strong sales ability.
Education: Bachelors required, Master’s preferred.
Computer Knowledge Requirements: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
