Job Description: EDUCATION:

· Minimum: BS Accounting, MS Business Administration or Finance.

· CPA Certification, highly desirable



EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum ten (10) years, optimum fifteen (15) years. Firm(s) sized from 50 to 200+ persons.

· An individual who has come through the ranks of Sr. Accountant, Assistant Controller or Controller, with significant experience in the position of Assistant CFO or CFO for an engineering consulting firm, A/E firm, a professional service government contractor, law firm, construction management firm or contractor, or other professional personal services firm. Project manager experience is a plus.

· An individual with direct responsibility for interface with Senior Management, preparing and presenting reports to Management on corporate fiscal status and growth projections/forecasting; and preparation of forecasts and project management reports for use by branch office managers, technical team leaders and technical supervisor personnel.

· Experience in supervisory responsibility for accounting/bookkeeping staff of five (5) to ten (10) professional and para-professional individuals.

· First hand supervisory/management experience with work in accounting including accrual and cash basis accounting, general ledger, financial statements, balance sheets, P/L statements, profit centers, payroll processing, 401(K), banking, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, trending, management report preparation.



SALARY:

· Annual salary to be commensurate with education and experience.

· Individual who has managed multiple financial cost centers (more than three simultaneously) in addition to overall corporate accounts.

· Non-financial project management experience is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Reports to President for routine coordination and to Division Managers on topics as specified.

· Responsible for accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping staff.

· Oversees and checks preparation of monthly accounting reports including general ledger, income statement, balance sheet, etc. for corporate and profit centers.

· Oversees periodic reporting of project status vs budget reports and interfaces with project managers for information exchange.

· Payroll, tax reporting, 401(K) administration.

· Banking - checking, savings, escrow, revolving line of credit, equipment notes, and renewals as applicable.

· Equipment and vehicle leases administration.

· Assist outside accountant with Tax filings - federal, multi-state, and counties.

· Coordination with CPA for year-end accounting and financial statements, and tax return preparation.

· Prepare interim monthly overhead analysis and coordinate with CPA for year-end FAR Audit.

· Budget preparation, updating and comparison with actual performance.

· Cash flow forecasting and comparison with actual.

· Management reports (including Project Management) on fiscal status and analysis weekly, monthly and quarterly.

· Frequent communication with principals -- oral and written - regarding status.

· Administration of business insurance policies and coordination with appropriate agent(s) - business, workers compensation, professional liability, automobile insurance, etc.

· Maintenance of all accounting, business and personnel files.
