Job Description: |
The Stratford, CT office is currently looking for Chief Inspector to work project specific work. The Chief Inspector will be responsible for daily inspection efforts on complex and/or diverse projects that require construction experience in a given discipline or trade. Is proficient at reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Perform field inspection of contractor's operations to see that they comply with contract documents. Prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor and review periodical pay estimates for accuracy with contractor. Prepare sketches and assemble data for Field Engineer's use in making changes to the project.
Assure contractor performs according to plans and specifications.
Keep diaries and make reports on work accomplished.
Responsible for daily inspection efforts.
Perform sophisticated, complicated mathematical calculations
Possesses highest level of technical expertise; capable of addressing the most difficult and novel issues/problems.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED plus 5 +years experience in civil, higway or relevant engineering/construction field, unless otherwise required by state provisions. All jurisdictional certificates and state requirements as necessary.
Supervisory experience is a plus.
Certifications needed for project: NICET Level III in Transporation/highway Construction or Professional Engieer License registered in the State of Connecticut (PE)
Certification Required NICET Level III preferred
