POSITION DESCRIPTION
The primary duties and responsibilities of a Government Compliance Manager will be managing and collaborating with a team of 6 to 12 staff Government Compliance personnel in the responding to DCAA audits, the direction of rates and/or the annual Incurred Cost Submission and/or in the oversight and analysis of subcontractor claims and litigation issues and or other “special” projects. The Government Compliance Manager will work under the direction of a Government Compliance Senior Manager and Director.
DUTIES
Serve as corporate point of contact on DCAA Audits.
Train and direct Government Compliance and company staff regarding FAR requirements.
Manage work related to Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Disclosure Statements, and Rate Calculations.
Direct responses to the DCAA regarding approved system and internal control issues.
Manage claims preparation with a team of people and direct the required outcomes of the analysis.
Review and provide comments and direction on pre-final draft(s) of “claims” documents.
REQUIREMENTS
7 to 10 years of experience directly associated with the oversight and management of government contracts.
Experience in managing a team of 6 to 12 staff personnel.
College degree or equivalent experience required (Accounting and/or Finance background preferred).
Masters Certificate in Government Contracts (ESI) or equivalent preferred (CPM, CPCM, etc.).
Expert knowledge of the FAR.
Extensive knowledge of Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Disclosure Statements, and Rate Calculations.
Primary corporate point of contact on DCAA Audits and approved government business systems. Directed Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) and claim preparation.
Extensive knowledge of internal control processes.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) required.
Ability to work in a team environment and the ability to communicate with internal/external customers.
Travel may be required, to include austere hazardous locations.
