Job Description: |
The VP Construction Services is a senior management position responsible for effective project delivery of Federal design-build (d-b) projects, primarily to the Department of Defense (DoD). This position will report to the Sr Vice President of Federal Programs and will be responsible for the sustainment and growth of hard dollar construction portfolio through keen understanding of the construction marketplace and the ability to lead and win key procurements.
This position will be responsible for review and selection of potential opportunities, management of estimating and pre-construction teams, execution functions ranging from subcontractor buy-out, project controls, to bringing project on/under cost and schedule, while attaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Other duties as required.
Position location may also be in San Antonio, Texas or Panama City, Florida.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline or equivalent
Minimum 25 years experience working in hard dollar construction, with specific experience in design/build (DB) construction projects
Minimum 10 years experience working on Federal construction projects with working knowledge of FAR requirements
Proven ability to lead and execute in the areas of project estimating, bidding, project controls, subcontractor buy-out, while demonstrating sound operations experience
Proven ability to deliver complex and challenging projects on or under cost and budget

The EG&G Division primarily serves U.S. federal government clients, including the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. The Division provides systems engineering and technical assistance for the development of weapons systems, and maintains and repairs vehicles and other military equipment to extend their service life. The Division also provides logistics support and installation management services, trains military pilots and conducts homeland security preparedness exercises in communities throughout the United States.
The Washington Division provides engineering, construction and management solutions for infrastructure, power, mining, oil and gas, industrial/process and defense projects.
