Manager of Certification Business Development   Employer: American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Job Location: Chicago , IL Cash Compensation: Industry Type: Related Professions Job Description: The Manager of Certification Business Development will lead the marketing campaign to position, promote and expand acceptance of AISC Certification Programs from owners, specifiers, contractors and code authorities while maintaining participation and growth of certified steel construction industry fabricators and erectors. You will increase awareness and persuasively communicate the benefits of AISC certification by establishing key relationships, giving presentations, attending conferences and tradeshows, responding to technical questions, producing creative advertising, and using ingenuity to research, analyze and develop new marketing opportunities. Job Requirements A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Marketing, or Communications, a minimum of five year's work experience and the ability to travel are required. Excellent public speaking and people skills, software proficiency, and an appreciation for the unique role of each individual on the design-construction team are a must. Business development expertise, established contacts within the public and private sectors of the A/E and construction industry, and knowledge of the markets and professional networks are preferred.
