Opportunity

We have an immediate need for an environmental compliance specialist to work full-time in Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities

* Prepare NPDES and related permit applications and coordinate approvals with regulatory agencies.
* Conduct detailed assessments of environmental permits and identify/write essential tasks for data management system.
* Develop SPCC Plans, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Construction Environmental Plans, Erosion Control Plans, and other State or project-required plans.
* Assist in the preparation of permit applications for pipeline-related projects and facilities, and participate in environmental compliance program development.
* Manage tasks or projects of small or moderate scope and complexity involving his/her technical expertise.
* Perform site reconnaissance in support of compliance projects.
* Prepare memorandum, reports and proposals with minimal supervision.
* Frequent interactions with clientele and periodic attendance at client meetings.
* Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
* Occasional travel to field sites is expected.

Qualifications


* The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience with a background in environmental compliance and permitting for the oil and gas industry (pipelines preferred).
* Attention to detail is critical.
* BS (minimum) or MS in environmental science, engineering, geology or related field.
* Strong communication (written and oral) and organizational skills required.
* Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint required.
* Ability to manage budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
* Ability to work independently and in teams, exercising good judgment.
* Task management/proposal writing experience required.
* OSHA Hazwoper 40-hour training a plus.
