Job Description: |
Job Description Will coordinate efforts of a project team to prepare NEPA documents, and perform other studies and services as required. Normally acts as leader for NEPA projects related to transportation. Work with planners, scientists, and engineers in preparation of NEPA documents. Provide technical direction in all phases of document preparation and performs technical services where needed. Provide quality control reviews on NEPA documents and other environmental reports prepared by the planning group or sub-consultants. Will attend meetings both within and outside the firm pertaining to existing and potential projects. Will manage sub-consultants and oversee environmental efforts of the project team.
Qualifications A minimum of 10 years experience in NEPA document preparation. A minimum of three years experience managing project budgets, schedules, and leading a project team. Must have experience working on transportation projects. Demonstrated ability to develop purpose and need statements and alternatives analysis for NEPA documents, a plus. Experience interacting with the public and local, state, and federal agencies, a plus. Must be proactive, self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work with a variety of personalities in high stress situations and function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
B.S. in Science or Planning related field
Minimum 10 years experience (at least 3 years in project management capacity)
Experience with Transportation Projects. Must have current NEPA skills with transportation projects
Certification Required RLA, RA registration or AICP, CEP certification is required.
